features for local and statewide shows. Topics include policies affecting undocumented immigrants, cities
preparing to declare bankruptcy, and researchers studying California accent. Cover breaking stories, such as
fire in the Oakland Hills and oil tanker collision with Bay Bridge. Take photos and compose text for website.

Pitch and produce non-narrated radio pieces for series spearheaded by the award-winning Kitchen Sisters.
Conduct interviews, take photos, and solicit public participation. Maintain database of nearly 200 submissions.

Taught Advanced Multimedia Reporting course to 20 undergraduate journalism majors. Designed curriculum
for 10-week class covering audio, video, photo, and web writing skills. Course expanded student reporting
from assigned, 300-word print briefs to 1000-word multimedia pieces with multiple sources and data.
